Traditionally, a sound clash involves DJs going head to head, trading song for song in a battle to “kill” your opponent and be named the best. However in this new, live version, instead of competing, Lady Hatchet teams up with veteran duo Dunia & Aram to form a musical super crew that can play a song from Lady Hatchet’s catalog, then a song from Dunia & Aram’s catalog, then one of Lady Hatchet’s, one of Dunia & Aram’s, back and forth throughout their set(s). And because of their overlapping musical passions for ska, reggae, soul, jazz and punk, their combined songs create seamless sets of music that celebrate song craft, thoughtful lyricism, soaring melodies, intoxicating harmonies, and are punctuated by spontaneous live versioning, soloing, and more!

Whether as an acoustic trio or with a drummer as an electric quartet, this group plays music for music people. They are seeking bookings at jazz brunches, local festivals, and private residents, both around North America and abroad.
